Truly the best summer yet: plenty of sunshine, frequent outings, and a plethora of summer treats to enjoy. My favorite though, as far as treats go, is frozen yogurt. It's healthier than ice-cream, but still satisfies a sweet tooth.
You can imagine my excitement, then, when Red Mango contacted me for a sponsored post.
Get paid to eat fro-yo? Count me in.
Red Mango's name came from red mangoes, literally.
When mangoes turn red, they're at their sweetest and most nutritious. Inspired by the pure taste and genuine goodness of red mangoes, Red Mango, the store, was founded on the commitment to use only the most natural ingredients in all products.
When you eat Red Mango, you're guaranteed simplicity and nutrition, and none of that artificial stuff other frozen yogurt and smoothies comprise.
Otherwise Red Mango would never have expanded to over 200 locations nation-wide in the past six years.
Today, in addition to frozen yogurt and smoothies, Red Mango also offers juice, yogurt probiotics, and superbiotics.
Because U Village is close to our home, and a good place to take a toddler, I decided to hit up the store there.
The actual store was hard to find. I didn't know that it's a stand-alone shack in the middle of the parking lot. The toddler and I walked around forever, and that's never fun. Better directions on places like Yelp or Red Mango Store Locator would have been helpful.
Like most summer nights in Seattle, the evening was warm and lovely. I saw a lot of seating outside the store, which were great for customers wanting to enjoy the sunset. Inside has limited space, but still enough seats for customers trickling in and out.
I liked that there was a high chair. It shows kid-friendliness.
The clean, well-stocked bathroom showed great care. Very impressive.
I wasn't confused about where to go and what to do. Red Mango gave clear directions, and my order came quickly.
You wouldn't believe it, but some restaurants don't tell you what to do (i.e. self-serve? Where are the cups? Where do I pay?). Not a big deal, but kind of takes away from the experience.
Red Mango has cool employees. At least the ones I met were. They were friendly and knowledgeable. One of them even helped take my picture -- and gave lighting advice too.
I ordered the Mango Pineapple Smoothie. As expected, it tasted refreshing and sweet. The all-natural-ness was obvious. The smoothie was fresh and easy to swallow. No nasty after taste of fake sugar or powder.
My daughter got vanilla frozen yogurt, with sprinkles of M&M's. She enjoy it.
Absolutely.
Since I started clean eating, frozen yogurt has become a huge part of my dessert menu. At Red Mango, not only can I get healthy frozen yogurt, but one that's all natural and completely clean.
Just heavenly!
