This method saves time, as well as money you'd spend on falsies.
Make Your Eyelashes Longer:
Step 1 - Curl
Any lash curler would do, but I prefer Shu Uemura lash curler because of its quality. I've had mine for years, and it still does a wonderful job.
I curl lashes first, because when lashes are curved upward, they are easier to apply mascara with.
Step 2 - Extend
A good way to make your eyelashes longer is to extend lash tips.
Tilt mascara brush upward. With short, brisk strokes, brush mascara onto each lash tip.
Using:
Step 3 - Volumize
Hold brush sideways, follow the natural curve of your eyelashes, and apply in slow strokes.
Step 4 - Separate
Hold brush sideways again. In a zig-zag pattern, gently apply mascara from lash line to tip.
Step 5 - Wait
Wait at least five minutes for mascara to dry.
Step 6 - Curl (again)
Why repeat this step? Because you have just added several coats of mascara, and all the formula might have weighed lashes down, offsetting original effort.
Step 7 - Groom
Sometimes curling lashes that already has mascara mushes drying formula. It's messy. Clean it up by brushing with mascara wand. You don't need any more formula; just a few long strokes completes the job.
Step 8 - Forget not
Lastly, don't forget lower lashes.
If you have short, stubby Asian lashes like mine, tilt mascara wand upward again, and brush on formula from left to right.

After
oh WOW! I do see the difference! They really stand out. Very pretty and good job!

love your tricks, I'm using a fiber mascara and at first I had trouble until I tried to put several layers alternating the position of the brush. =)
ReplyDeleteAwesome tut! But I think I'm never going to use the curler, ever! It seems frightening :D

I love your tips! :) My eyelashes are so short so hopefully by trying this out my eyelashes will look much longer. :P
ReplyDeletegreat post thank you for these tips <3
ReplyDeletecool! should try this often!
ReplyDeleteMy lashes are naturally stick straight so I can't live without my mascara base. Boo! ;P
ReplyDeletewow, totally difference afterwards!!! great tips
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips! I usually just brush on my mascara in a zigzag pattern; I never thought to do it all those other ways too. I like how falsies magically give me the appearance of fuller lashes, but they aren't practical to apply or wear everyday.
ReplyDeleteYour eyes look great! :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, those falsies look great on you! I've never tried on a pair, but I'm tempted to for my bestfriend's wedding later in the year!

You're eyes look fabulous! Thanks for all the tips, especially on how to angle and wiggle the mascara brush.
ReplyDeleteI have one to add: don't miss the outside corner teeny lashes. Wiggling the brush over them and adding that dark contrast at the outer edges really makes eyes look larger. If one has a narrow face (like me), it also makes face appear wider.
I love Benefit They're Real mascara. It gives length as well as a very natural look.
Great tip. Your lashes look great! M
