Blue Eye Shadow does NOT look tacky on Asian Women!
Not if you wear it right.
In fact, blue eye shadow looks exquisite on Asian women.
My "Asian Makeup Tip" in this beauty blog post?
Wear blue eye shadow!
Here's how:
Step 1
Using an eyeliner brush, apply top lashline with blue shadow. (Preferably cream eye shadow.)
Make it thick, but stay as close to lash line as possible.
Using: Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Shadow in "75 Electric Blue," CoverGirl Eye Shadow in "Tapestry Taupe." |
A cream shadow is great with a liner brush. |
To ensure that you create a "camel hump" effect, which makes Asian eyes appear bigger, apply from inner corner outward, and stop half way.
Inside to outside. Stop half way. |
Then, start from outer corner and go inward. Meet the first line you drew in the middle.
Make sure the line is semi-thick.
Step 2
Using the same eyeliner brush and blue shadow, line your bottom lash line outside in. Stop at 2/3 the length.
On the bottom, stop 2/3 of the way. |
Step 3
Using a flat shadow brush, apply taupe eyeshadow to the crease of your eyes.
Special Asian makeup tip: for an Asian, crease stops at brow bone.
With a flat brush, back-and-forth motion works well. |
Step 4
Dust a small amount of translucent powder on top of eye lid to set shadow.
Step 5
Curl lashes. Apply mascara.
Currently, I'm in love with L'oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara. |
Lovely make up...I think that it is all about finding the right shade and a manner in which to wear something...whether it is clothes or make up.

ReplyDeleteLovely tip for Asian eyes :) I just noticed that I don't have blue eyeliners/eyeshadows in my makeup kit. I only have the neutral ones all the time. I guess I have to try this next time :)
