My favorite maxi dress, which was acquired during pregnancy, lasted into winter as well. (You might remember me wearing it for an a pregnancy fashion blog post here.) For colder days, I add outer wear on top. Doing so insulates heat but still offers a maxi-effect.
Want to winter-fy your maxi dress too? Here are some suggestions to try:
1. Biker Jacket
When soft meets tough, coolness is created.
2. Cable Sweater
It's my version of going preppy with a maxi dress.
3. Long Cardi
Doubly long and lean.
4. Faux fur vest
Bulky on top, slim on the bottom. Great balance.
5. Comfy Sweater
Cozy and dressy, like the pictures below.
Cozy - just the way I like it. |
Lost in a thought. (I think?) |
The wind started picking up. |
Here's the dress by itself. Also, I put on booties with it for cold weather. |
Like maxi dresses? How about a few of this year's hottest maxi dress trends?
The dresses below are from Supre, an online fashion and accessories store that specialize in women's dresses and accessories. Its products are fun, fresh and affordable. I highly recommend you take a look here.
Stripes - so cute! |
Cute girlie prints? I like. |
The galaxy print is really hot right now, and looks great on a maxi. |

ReplyDeleteI love maxis! I'm kind of tall, so it's hard for me to find ones that are long enough, so I've taken to tying a knot in the bottom. It makes for a chill/summery look. Your dress is cute with the sweater too!

You look so cute! :) I love the chic look of maxi dresses and skirts :D
ReplyDeleteI love maxi skirts although I don't own dresses. I wish I could pull off the biker jacket or fur vest with a maxi dress look.
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty!! :)
Cute! I wear a smaller top because anything that's big it makes me look bigger lol but I like the oversized look

i love maxi dresses because they are so elegant and can hide my rather thick legs xP but mostly, I'm too short to wear them =(
ReplyDeleteI love the look you're wearing and I think my favorite tip is a biker jacket. Definitely a great way to edge up a dress :)
