Can you believe that New York Fashion Week is already in full swing? Crazy, isn't it? While designers introduce the newest of fall, girlies like us are still getting used to spring and summer fashion trends.
One of the brightest 2012 fashion trends is neon. Boy has it become a favorite in blogosphere! Fellow bloggers have worn the neon trend in all kinds of ways -- color blocking, leggings...you name it!
Unlike those brave souls on fashion blogs, I get timid about wearing the latest style. Something as loud as the neon trend certainly intimidates me. But they, you only live once, right? If I can't go full-on neon like others, there are alternative ways to do it.
Here are three subtle but cute ways to wear 2012 neon fashion trend:
Neon Nail Polish
A great way to wear brights is to try it for makeup. Painting your nails a bright color is an inconspicuous way to introduce neon trend.

Mix Fun with Business
Color blocking with various shades of neon looks super cute. A subtler way, however, is to pick one neon item, and mix it with something less attention-grabbing.
Here I have paired a neon print top with a business-y pencil skirt -- a witty way to add a trendy twist to classic pieces, right?

I have mixed feeling about the neons... it's seems to have made a return to the scene too quickly. Didn't we just have a fashion outbreak of everything bold and bright? That's a pretty outfit, a really nice way of wearing neon without it being too in your face. I swear I must have smelled this trend coming because I recently got the urge to buy tons of neon polishes for no apparent reason. I'm well prepared and I hadn't even realised! Ha ha :)
