Don't let her good looks fool you. Actress Olivia Thirlby is more than meets the eye.
A trained thespian, Thirlby was named one of "Hollywood's New Wave" by Vanity Fair Magazine -- and Vanity Fair is never wrong. At only 25 years of age, she already has a number of award-worthy films under her belt, including Oscar-winning movie Juno and Sundance winner The Wackness.
Studious New Yorker
In New York City, here Thirlby was born, she attended Friends Seminary in Gramercy neighborhood, and then attended French Woods Festival of Performing Arts in Upstate New York. To further perfect her crafty, Thirlby also studied at American Globe Theatre, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat.
Film Career
Prior to her breakout role in 2007's critically acclaimed independent film Juno, Thirlby appeared in several movies and TV shows. But her performance as Juno co-star Ellen Page's bestie escalated Thirlby's movie career.
Since then, she was cast opposite Ben Kingsley in The Wackness, Seth Rogen in Pineapple Express, and No Strings Attached with Natalie Portman.
They are just a few of Thirlby's accomplishments.
Hollywood's Rising Star
What's next for the young actress? A slew of new movies yet to be released, many wonderful opportunities, and surely anywhere her talent can take her.
Maybe an Oscar? I wouldn't be surprised.
