Are you struggling to get your pre-pregnancy body back?
It took me nine long months to have a baby, and nine LONG months to shed the baby weight. Getting a pre-pregnancy body back was no easy task. Maintaining it, especially finding time to work out, has been even harder.
No longer able to hit the gym every night, I needed alternative ways to sneak in exercise. Hence, Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 Days workout video. It provides four weeks of various exercises, meal plans, and fitness tips.
After baby, I struggled especially with the middle section. So I focus more on ab and oblique exercises.
Below is an easy oblique exercise I learned from the video. You can do it in your living room, and it requires no weights.
Step 1
Turn your body sideways.
Extend your arm and support your body.
Make sure your body is held up straight.
Step 2
Keep supporting arm extended.
Dip your pelvis into the floor.
Stop. Hold for 2 - 3 seconds.
Step 3
Slowly lift your pelvis back to starting position.
Keep your supporting arm in position.
Make sure your body is straight again.
Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps each.
Alternate sides.
I love this post gear, am gonna use it

I do a really strange oblique exercise that totally shreds the muscles -- it's awesome. You start in downward dog, and then you move your right leg to your left arm (and vice versa), sticking your leg out straight between your body and your arm. Totally crazy but totally serious.

omg, you look like you could be on the cover of a workout dvd! you are so fit, and you are holding that pose really well! i do oblique exercises everyday, but it's kind of embarrassing. i do it every time i go to the bathroom.... after washing my hands, i stand in front of the mirror, and do 12 reps each side.... it definitely helps. :)
ReplyDeletehappy friday!

I love pilates - there are usually a few poses or exercises that focus on obliques. I've always wondered what it would be like to try Jillian Michaels' stuff. Judging by your amazing shape, it looks like it's pretty effective!
