Are you a tank top and jeans girl like me? If so, then you know my dilemma -- while dressing down in tank top and jeans is an easy style, it looks plain and mundane. As much as you'd like to reflect a casual street style, and rock that girl next door look, your plain ensemble could use a bit dazzle.
Don't worry. I don't suggest walking out the door all bling-ed up like a tribal bride on her wedding day. Just additions here and there to take you from casual to casually dressed up.

add a short cardigan (I have a really cute grey one with ruched sleeves that I used to LOVE to do this with)
add a cute jacket, in my case it would be my cropped leather bomber
layer tanks- particulary ones with different necklines and shoulder styles. Like a fitted racerback tank with a strappy flowy one.
but my favorite will always be add a statement necklace- a simple tank will let it shine :)

Love the vest idea I actually used to do that a lot for work because it was quick and easy and I could just take it off when I was done. I really like the scarf too however I have a hard time tying them up to look just right and stay on at the same time.

ReplyDeleteAdding a blazer will have your look be more structured. Since you're in all black a contrasting white blazer will help you look very chic. If you want to be fun, adding a bright colored blazer like maybe pink will definitely have you being an attention grabber.
