Do you want sexier eyes?
Wearing liquid liner helps. But liquid eye liner is also hard to put on. Not only do you need steady hands to draw such precise lines, the product you use must also have superior quality. Formula itself has to be consistent. And what of the pen? Please make it as easy to use as possible.
I picked up L'Oreal Felt Tip Liquid Liner last week. It's supposed to be one of the best liquid liners in the market. Let's see if all the raves are true:

I picked up L'Oreal Felt Tip Liquid Liner last week. It's supposed to be one of the best liquid liners in the market. Let's see if all the raves are true:
The Claim
- "The uniquely designed applicator ... allows you to create delicately thin or dramatically bold lines with precision."
My Take
- Felt tip was really nice to use.
- Formula glided on smoothly.
- It definitely created a thin line.
- "All day wear up to eight hours"
- Not true. I would say about...four hours.
- "Fragrance-free"
- "Ophthalmologist tested"
- "Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearer"
- No fragrance -- that fact is true.
- No clue if it was ophthalmologist tested or not.
- I don't wear contacts. But the liner did not irritate my eyes at all, not even when I wore it on the water lines.
Likes
- Felt tip was great to use. Very easy application.
- Gorgeous, dark, consistent formula.
- Precise lining. Strong pigment.
- No fragrance. No irritation.
- Gorgeous packaging.
Dislikes
- Not exactly long wear.
- Took some effort to take off.
4.5 / 5
Repurchase?
Yes. Absolutely.
Love the gorgeous, gold pen. |
Its felt tipped pen makes lines easy to draw. |
Formula is consistent and rich. Line looks beautiful. |
Sounds promising. I have to give it a try!
ReplyDeletei have not tried this product but the result looks really nice xx

I haven't tried liquid eyeliner in years. I think it's time for me to give it a try again. I might try this one out!
ReplyDeleteNot an expert at liquid eyeliner :(
ReplyDeleteBut it sounds worth purchasing :)

The Sweetest Escape
I've been a dedicated user of MAC liquid liner for years - it's the only one I've found that applies easily and genuinely lasts all day. It's so disappointing when you spend so much time putting liquid liner on in the morning only to have it wear off by mid-day.
ReplyDeleteGreat review!

I've NEVER tried liquid liner before... I've always been too nervous to give it a try. But after reading your thoughts I think I'll be buying this :)
ReplyDeleteI have not tried this yet. I really enjoyed your review..x0x0

I have tried their Lineur intense on carbon black by Loreal. I used to like it a lot but I think they changed the formulation of it and now it's hard to use.
ReplyDeleteOoh thanks for this review, because I've seen this in the stores all the time and I really like Loreal mascara so I would probably like this. And the felt tip sounds easy to use. Thank you for sharing!

actually this is the exact liquid eyeliner i use daily! i would agree with you about it lasting all day -- it does smudge towards the end of the day but i have had good luck with it so far! so great to hear what your take is on one of my everyday makeup products ;) xo
ReplyDeletehttp://dressedupallligators.blogspot.com/
I used to use the lineur intense in carbon black that has the black packaging instead of this gold one. It lasted long but I didnt like the glossy finish.
ReplyDeleteGreat review! Never tried this product!

Darn, looks great...I wish l'oreal sold that here! It's unfortunate that a lot of products from drugstore brands can't be found in singapore!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was good with liquid eyeliner, but I always mess up! Maybe i'll give this one a try if I feel like going for a new product ^_^

I have always had trouble with finding a good eye liner that doesn't smear into my eyelid with time! It's so frustrating. I might have to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteLove liquid liners more than pencil ones. I find that my HG does not smudge and creates a precise line. I like to wingtip my liner up at the outer edges of my eyes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your review!

I wear a lot of liquid eyeliner - I usually use one with a brush rather than a felt end, I find them easier to use. Practice makes progress!
ReplyDeleteLoved the look..but i prefer brush to felt tip

ReplyDeleteGreat review, It seems to be a very promising product. Like others have mentioned I've always been weary using liquid liner as it is so difficult, but I may well invest in this on payday tomorrow :D

I never tried it but it sounds good. Love the way you write reviews :) So straight to the point!
ReplyDeleteI like the felt tip on this one the other liquids I have tried have had much smaller applicators and I'm pretty horrible when it comes to liquid liner. I'll have to keep this in mind on my next shopping adventure!

The felt tipped pen makes me nervous... I've had ones that dispense faultily.
ReplyDeleteBut no irritation is definitely a plus.
Thanks for the helpful review! I'm terrible with any type of eyeliner or liquid liner lol I have yet to master the winged tip look that I absolutely love. Any tips on that?;) -A

my first experiences with liquid liners wer bad. but then i tried elf's pen and loved it...and now i'm using gel. i'm hooked on the precision aspect of liquids and gels. i'll put this on my list to try next!
ReplyDeletethanks!
[oomph.]
LOVE THE SLIM TUbe!! :))
ReplyDeleteLove this product but it doesnt stay on for very long. I usually wear it ontop of blacktrack fluid line. Thanks for the amazing review!!
ReplyDeleteI have the exact same L'oreal liner and I have been using it for years. I find that it is so much easier to apply than other liners I've tried, so I keep buying this one. It doesn't require complete steady hands and the result is really longlasting = win! :)

Ohh New eyeliner for me to take. Have you ever tried the Revlon Color Stay Liquid liner? How would you compare the two. I am currently using Revlon and kind of in the market to find a new liner that dries quickly and easy to use. The one you review seems like a good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I haven't tried this yet, but definitely will. hank you for the review.
ReplyDeleteA felt tip pen for applying eyeliner - why didn't anyone think of that sooner. Make-up brushes are such a pain.
This blog is great source of information which is very useful for me. Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteBEST SWEET PROOF IDEAS.
I have not tried this, since I'm a fan on gel eyeliners at the moment, but it's sure gonna be in my to buy list!
