Anyone resolute to organize in the new year?
Our bathroom sink, a.k.a my temporary makeup storage, has been a complete mess since our toddler started walking. Because she cannot keep her hands out of my makeup drawers, I have been slowly moving them onto the bathroom counter I share with hubby.
Poor hubby! He has been complaining since the summer.
Today, I saw this clear cosmetic tray at Target. It cost around $15.

What a good way to organize!
With diligence, I organized all the pretty things I own, and converted this:

 |
| Makeup is still busting out, but so much more organized now. |
Hubby could really give me a back rub now. (Wink! Wink!)

This could not come at a perfect time than now! I'm currently in the process of re-organizing my makeup and this will help me a lot!

ReplyDeleteI'm always looking for different kind of stoarge solutions. Have you tried the child proof locks for the drawers?
ReplyDeleteI keep my regular/daily use stuff in one drawer. All other make-up is organized in a metal make-up case (similar to this:http://www.bmdcase.com/image/silver-makeup-case.jpg) and in additional drawers that are a little harder to access.

Incredible how one simple tray organized everything so beautifully. I am "super-organised", so all my make-up is in a huge makeup bag, all brushes in a special brush case, and creams etc stacked with military precision ;-)

Oooooh, what a great organizing tool! I'll have to keep my eye out for one of these. I wish I didn't have to admit that I most often do my makeup in my car . . . but maybe this would be inspiration for me to break that awful habit!

ReplyDeleteMy brushed are kept in an old vase and I have a makeup train kit to hold all my makeup. I also have a makeup bag that contains the stuff I wear daily.
I heard about Caboodles organizers since I read Teen magazine! But I never really got one, I usually ended up just organizing my beauty products inside a wicker basket, ex-Christmas parcel container!

luv the tray !! we dont get such trays in india .. :( i organise my makeup in a plastic vanity box with 3 drawers ... it stores my makeup pretty well. . .

Yay for organization! My resolution is to keep up-to-date on my polish organization now that I have found the perfect way to store it all. (580 bottles is a lot to keep track of if you allow it to become disorganized!)

ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lot cleaner. My make up is like how you had it before, maybe minus all the scattered things on the counter top ;) But my brushes are in jars, and I have a drawer for eye makeup, another for face. I also don't have to share space with anyone though!

What a great addition! It would be a breeze to clean too. I got an hanging organizer from LL Bean hooked onto the back of my bathroom door. It easy to pack up and take to the gym, for a weekend away etc. - highly recommended! For my jewellery I use a similar system as you. I got a plastic case with adjustable slots at a hardware store.
