In the ad, wearing L'Oreal shades in "Smoky Eyes", Eva Longoria Parker looked so incredibly stunning, I got tempted to try the colors too. Plus, I just can't say 'no' to smoky eyes!
I love how the shadow came with 4 conveniently numbered quads and instructions on how to create this look.
(The picture below is from the ad, but there are also instructions on the eye shadow compact's back):
Here is my own attempt to get the sexy smoky eye:
Step 1: Line
Use quad 1 to apply along lash line, upper and lower rim
Step 2: Base
Use Quad 2 to apply to middle of lid and blend up to crease
Step 3: Highlight
Use Quad 3 to blend below brow to highlight
Use Quad 3 to blend below brow to highlight
Step 4: Brighten
Apply Quad 4 lightly to inner corner of eyes.
Apply Quad 4 lightly to inner corner of eyes.
Add mascara, blush and a neutral gloss and my own smoky look is complete:
I have always loved this look, but don't know how to create smoky eyes. With the instructions on this compact, I was getting a mini tutorial on the smoky eye look.
Also, I loved the neutral gray tones and how the shadow glided onto the lids. I definitely recommend L'Oreal Studio Secrets Color Smokes Shadows.

ReplyDeleteI really like it. You did awesome. The instructions are very helpful especially for someone who doesn't know much about make-up like me. I think you could go a bit darker but I like this "natural" smokey look too
