DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE NAILS

These are chocolate truffles by Godiva.  They look deliciously mouth-watering, right?

Trust me!  They are!  The famous rich, cocoa flavor of the Godiva brand just melts in your mouth.  

Unfortunately, 2 tiny pieces of these (and 2 has never been enough for me) costs around 210 calories and 13 grams of fat :O(

So today I went for a different kind of chocolate truffle: nail enamel by REVLON, in chocolate truffle. 

Since fall is just around the corner, why not put on a pretty, darker shade?  And a color this delicious just happen to satisfy my cravings (for nail color at least).

I guess there really does exist fat free, no calorie chocolate after all!

DATE NIGHT: BEST COMEDY IN A LONG TIME

Lately there has been many so-so movies out, but Date Night was a lot of fun!  With Tina Fey and Steve Carell, two forces of very funny, Date Night kept me laughing the entire time.

In Date Night, two boring couples (Fey and Carell) in suburban New Jersey decide to spice up their date night by going to a trendy restaurant in New York City.  Little did they know that an innocent act of stealing someone's reservation caused an entire night of gun fights, police chase and even performing at the strip club.


In the end, not only does our Date Night couple rekindle their romance, they keep audiences entertained.  Plus, a shirtless Mark Wahlberg is not bad to watch either!

DENIM LEGGINGS

I must admit that I was a little skeptical when Denim Leggings were first introduced.  At that time, skinny jeans were my no. 1 obsession and I thought I would never fall for another.  

But a year later, I am loving my denim leggings and wishing they'd never go out of style!  They are comfy, trendy and slimming.  You can dress them down with a long tee and boots, or dress them up with a long, sleek shirt with a pair of pumps, like my outfit below.

Whatever you wear your denim leggings with, I have a slight feeling that you will fall in love with them just like I did.






 

NEW DISCOVERY: BABY WIPES AS EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

When a good discovery is made, it's customary to share with my girls, especially in blogging.  

As most of you may know, hubby and I recently became new parents.  Therefore, we have been introduced to a slew of new products like diapers and formulas.  

Somewhere in between feeding a hungry little one and practicing swaddling, I started using baby wipes to remove eye makeup.  

Who knew that this little paper is so versatile?  Not only is it soft on the baby's skin, it's also tough on makeup!

Look at my heavily painted eye here - might require some effort to remove all that makeup.

Look at what the baby wipe can do!  All that makeup is gone!

It's even taking off dark mascara:

After a few wipes, all that makeup is completely gone, nice and bare to go to bed with.

The baby wipes are extremely gentle on skin but totally works on makeup.  If you are up for it, I suggest you give it a try!

FUNNY CONTRAPTION: THE FACE SLIMMING ROLLER

In desperation, I may go to great length to slim down.  If getting a pre-pregnancy body is a far-fetched idea for now, I have started with my face.

Last time at the Asian market, I ran into this funny contraption:

It's a "Face Slimming Roller Massager", with the claim to smooth and slim your face.  It even has a detachable neck roller to rid of double chin.  

With high hopes, I dropped the 20 bucks it charged and took one home.

Does it work? Not sure yet.  But an object this peculiar MUST be shared.  Meanwhile, I will try to use it for the recommended 10 minutes per day.  But as soon as I am able to work out again, I'll be slimming down the right way.

AUGUST HUNK ALERT: JASON STATHAM

I love All-American cuties like Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, but there's just something completely irresistible about sexy Europeans.  

Lately, previews for macho movie The Expendables have been all over TV, which moved my attention to the very sexy Englishman, Jason Statham.

When I first saw him in The Transporter, I was taken by his cool sex appeal.  Then he just became more and more popular with Transporter sequals and other action films like the Italian Job, Crank and War.   

This actor and martial artist walks, talks and moves with sexiness.  He's unbelievably charming and extremely good-looking.  Plus that British accent?  IRRESISTIBLE!!!!

baby news!!!!

I have been absent from my blog for quite some time due to  delivering my little baby 2 weeks ago.  I had a c-section, which was a scary experience, but all turned out well. 

Tell you what, motherhood is no joke!  It's been a whirlwind since our baby girl's arrival.  But I am enjoying every moment of it!

It's hard getting back to the blog after burning the midnight oil every night.  But hopefully I will soon.
