With small, circular motions, I can layer on the foundation with it and blend for a pretty, even look.
Because the brush is small enough, I get to those tough spots like the crevice of the nose.
Although the M.A.C 188 brush is pretty expensive ($37.00), if it's taken care of, it's life expectancy is...well, a life time. All you need is to wash with gentle soap every 1-2 weeks.
To be honest I really love this brush so far. The way my skin looks after application is both natural and covered - feels like it's the right tool to bring out the good in a liquid foundation.
Well, I haven't worn liquid foundation in years and years but I think I'm going to have to give it another try with that brush! I'm almost out of the discontinued foundation stick by L'oreal. It's so awesome. I'll need a new replacement. I'm totally going to hit you up when the time comes, and pick your brain. :)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! I always just use my fingers to do foundation, but I imagine for regular wear that could be too messy.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, great brush!!!
ReplyDeleteI love MAC:))
Have a nice day!

I SO need this brush!
ReplyDeleteFab review, darling!

I love this brush!! But I use it for blushes, to create a soft colour that's buildable. I used to use the 116 brush for blush before, but that just irritated my skin :( I find that using this brush for foundation though takes a while because of it's small size, and it can still be streaky. I've been using the 130 brush lately for foundation, which is also small but more dense, and it's amazing :)
ReplyDeleteThat is what I wanted to buy before I left from Hungary. It' a really good one. Lucky you! ;) Have a great weekend my friend!
ReplyDeleteWow thanks for the review, I like that it's not that big and fits the crevice of the nose. ^_^
ReplyDeletesome fab make up tips - thanks for sharing! i must admit i havent wore foundation in like 3 months!

I know makeup artists say you should invest in great brushes, but the cheap part of me can't bear spending more than $15 on a brush. I've had good luck finding affordable good quality brushes, though.
ReplyDeleteHmmm interesting! I love reading about make-up tools! I hate how pricey good brushes can be though. Kind of deters me away from using them! Thanks for sharing. :)

Actually, I would say that you've got such great porcelain smooth skin that you wouldn't really need any foundation at all!! But OK, I see what you mean about the brush. Heh heh! ;D
